June 08

Welcome Mr Johnny Halling.

Ok so Johnny the new sticks man has popped his cherry for the band with a great gig in Scarborough with punk rock legends SLF. What a brilliant night that was a mini bus full of the Oot's hitting the town and drinkin the bars dry yeeee haaaa

Johnny got straight into the swing of things and never missed a beat (thrown in at the deep end or what!!!)

From there we have played some cracking gigs supporting The Levellers and The Dead Kennedy's, both at Newcastle's Carling Academy.

You aint seen nothing yet kids, a forthcoming tour in Germany with Angelic Upstarts (Mensi singing again! not Chris!!! he's back into the swing of it) and Frankfurt's Stage Bottles.

Then a gig with USA Legends and probably the tightest band in rock/punk/streetpunk whatever you wanna call it; THE DICKIES (lil Lee almost cum in his pants when he heard we had this gig) the Rebellion Fest.

The Fordham Fest with Bad Manners, Hawkwind, The Beat (i know a weird concoction) but all in the name of charity & The Durham Punk Fest.

Thats it for now keep checking back for more capers... cheeeeazzzz

Ok So its 2008 we kicked the year off with a Great gig with SKA BOYS - BAD MANNERS at The Venue in Newcastle.

Cheers to everyone that came to that one a brilliant night it was too with the whole place dancing seemed like everyone was steaming drunk and in high spirits a real party atmosphere just how we like it.

This was also Phil's last gig with us (yes another drummer bites the dust)

Phil totally pulled us out the crap learning our stuff in record time to play some gigs we agreed to before our last drummer went missing? So hats off to Phil who came along and saved the day for the OOts.
Ok in step Johnny Or (Double Beat Boris!!!) our new sticks man who will be with us for the foreseeable future, popping his cherry for CRASHED OUT with our gig in Scarborough on 29th Feb with punk legends - STIFF LITTLE FINGERS
So we start the year busy as usual with gigs coming in fast and making great progress on our new material that will be played live soon and hopefully recorded by the end of the year.
We'll let you know how it all goes keep checking back Cheeeeeeazzzzzzz

December 07: Hi all, we've had a few ups n downs this year we replaced Swampy on drums for Mr (Filthy Tex) Phil Hughes, Swampy couldn't commit to tours as he has a demanding job in the real world so unfortunately had to call it a day. We blew up our car coming back from Cambersands and got interrogated by customs police at Glasgow airport for 1 full hour, according to them we look suspicious due to us having tattoos and guitars!!!!!!!!!!
We still played plenty shows though including Durham Punk Festival, Speed Freaks Ball, Concrete Jungle Fest, Belgium Vlamrock, Fest and Germanys Punk n Disorderly Fest. We also toured with MISFITS and THE BRIEFS, and gigged with THE UNDERTONES and ADDICTS.  Also this year we had a best of CD released through SOS records in USA. And to finish the year nicely we had our song 'Fat Punks Don't Pogo' voted no1 punk song of 2007 by Gaz Bushells 'Puke Box Jury' on his pob-cast at Total Rock.
So thanks to everyone that came and supported us bought our cd or nicked our songs from downloads Cheeeazzz to you all, roll on 2008 and another chapter in the life of CRASHED OUT ........................

September 07: Hello everyone, finally back to give you all a bit of an update on the world of CRASHED OOT! what can I say! We've been all over Europe the past few months gigging, drinking, n having a blast, swampy (our new drummer) 'like you didn't already know!', is fitting in just fine with us and is sounding better than ever, smashing his way through whatever drum kit he face's!
In between gigs lee took time out to finally tie the knot in Malta! great place, it was attended by lots of friends and family, no gigs though, just relaxing for a change.
We now have a best of cd released through SOS records in the US, which features tracks from previous albums + some recent tracks, make sure yis all get ya hands on one of those.
Well, what's in store for the future I hear you ask !! We've got shows all over the country with the MISFITS + THE BRIEFS from the US, check out the gig dates for details, also Durham punk fest with THE DAMMNED and loads of others, always a good day out, then there's possible gigs with THE ADDICTS and THE UNDERTONES, towards the end of the year yep its non stop!
In between all what's been happening Chris still managed to pop over to Germany to stand in on on vocals for THE ANGELIC UPSTARTS  a week's tour which went very well as usual.
One other thing to report is a possible Holland + German tour with the infamous  ANTI NOWHERE LEAGUE, early next year!!! keep checking back for updates on that.
See ya all soon from CRASHED OUT ...............................................

March 06: Well hello folks, its been awhile since we reported anything to you lot but as they say 'better late than never'!!
First off I'd like to thank all our loyal north east fans for travelling to Berlin and supporting our gig at this years punk n disorderly fest! It was a packed out venue and everyone was wasted! (it was 1.30am) when we eventually hit the stage really hot n sweaty place just the way we like it ...Haaaaaa
Swampy's first ever gig out of the UK well done mate.

We've also recently played Wakefield's Snooty Fox! it was an enjoyable evening although not a great turn out, we thank everyone involved and hope plenty of cash was raised for the Samaritans charity.

Ok what's next I hear you ask!!! Well on the 28 march Tony Horn of Metro FM Breakfast show played our JARROW SONG! yes, he's gave us some good airplay and exposure, they reviewed our u tube video live on air. Its now the video of the day on the Metro radio website..... Now that's a nice song to listen to at 9am don't you think?
Cheers to everyone that phoned the show to sing our praise's.

Its the biggest response they've ever had from a local band ......good stuff.....
C YA SOON........THE CREW

Dec 06: Our first gig with our new drummer Martin at Poulton on the East coast with UK Subs and Outlaw, great little gig this one we were well looked after by Paul n Carl (North Records) cheers lads. This was a great start to Martins career with the Oots played a blinding set and the crowd loved it a really warm welcome for the new boy on sticks. zooooots.

27th Dec 06: Trillians Newcastle and our Xmas bash a full house tonight and everyone in high spirits crowd going ape shit, beer flowing nicely, brilliant sound and plenty of ladies. What more can we say.

CRASHED OUT- WEST COAST TOUR DIARY 2006

Hi Everyone!! We're finally back from our first trip as a band to the great ole U S A!
We'd like to thank the following people for their support and help, sorry we cant mention all the bands we played with along the way there was just so many! but thank you, you know who you are, anyway........

THANK YOU

ALLIE (TOOLED UP PROMOTIONS) without you this would not have happened. Cheers for everything, including clothes and the partying.

(SUPER) MAL FUNCTION, Merch Guy and good friend

TYLER/CRUCIAL CHANGE, and EVERYONE involved in this great band.

KONRAD/DEKOIZE, And all the other Bands promoters/Helpers that we've met along the way.

NOV 1:
We Arrive in Seattle Airport, a bit drunk and jaded from our long flight over, a good drink on the plane helps kill the time, Ha Ha. All the lads get through passport control without a problem except me (Lee) & Decca, We are grilled like a George Foreman as to what are business is here in the states, so many stupid questions fly our way but we stay calm and eventually get through! you hear so many stories of bands being turned away, it didn't help to find out Decca had actually been deported in the past......  Anyway we're in, but a new problem crops up (
THE CURSE OF CRASHED OUT) all our bags and luggage are lost. NIGHTMARE.......5 days later we still aint got erm, eventually they all show up except mine! as I sit writing this I still aint got em, two weeks later! anyway Tyler (CRUCIAL CHANGE) Is there to pick us up, We're gonna be sharing a van and gigging with these guys for the next two weeks.  we  borrow clothes and buy what we can to get by. Tonight we sink a few beers at Allie's (promoter) house She's so happy and overwhelmed to finally get us out here, it was good to meet up.

NOV 2: THE MANIUM-OLYMPIA, WA

I'm totally jet lagged, its pouring down and I feel like crap! The venue looked like a European squat, no heating on,  freezing lets just hope our gig goes ok.
There was some good support bands on, at one point all the power was cut! out of the blackness a high pitch American voice shouts "DEAL WITH IT",  It was hilarious.  Now the whole band has adopted "DEAL WITH IT" in our best Geordie American accent. we played ok that night, but we were so tired it was hard work.

NOV 3: THE COLBALT-VANCOUVER, BC

We travelled for a few hours today until we reached the boarder of Canada, Once again we are grilled as to what our business was there, they see our tattoos and start talking about Miami Ink programme, they seem to ease off us when we tell em that some of us our tattooists? Anyway we get through and head downtown to the venue. On the way in to Vancouver the pubs/clubs looked great the city was buzzing! we got downtown and it looked like GRAND THEFT AUTO, vice city! ha, tramps/junkies, and a rat all pass us by on the way to the venue.  Inside the place it reminded me of CBGB'S, stinking but good. We played our best gig of the tour that night alongside some great bands!

NOV 4: STUDIO SEVEN-SEATTLE, WA

Allie, our promoter's main gig!! we had a good time at studio seven, great stage and pa system!! (We managed to get a live recording of this show), An emo type screamo band opened up the night and I thought they were spot on! a few other streetpunk bands, then crucial change all played really good sets. I think the
Crashed Out crew had a good reception that night, and its definitely a venue to come back to. We had a mega after show party at allies that went on till the small hours you name the beer she had it!!! her fridge was the biggest we'd ever seen, it reminded me of the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, you could keep walking into it picking up various beers along the way, it was just never ending.

NOV 5: SABALA'S- PORTLAND, OR

It was still raining, it just wouldn't let up! are we in England or what?
The 5th was a special day for me, it was the day we paid homage to  guitar legend
JIMI HENDRIX, we had a few hours to kill before the show so we decided to take a look a his memorial site, it was a great feeling! i even left him a guitar pick and had to borrow one later that night.....
After that we headed to Portland, As we arrived our name
CRASHED OUT was in lights on the front of venue, it looked pretty cool.  This venue was weird as hell, loads of trippy glow in the dark paintings filled the walls,  there was also a separate bar which had a cinema screen  playing horror movies with blasting psycobilly music, Really bizarre place, reminded me of the moloko bar on clockwork orange, We played a good set but sadly it was a poor turnout...... still met some good people there.

NOV 6:

Day of  travelling!  We finally headed for sunny California! We stopped over night in a small town to which name i thankfully forgot! No bars just big people eating big buffets, the film 'Deliverance' springs to mind .......  scream piggy

NOV 7:Day

we spent another day travelling

NOV 8: BLUE LAGOON, SANTA CRUZ

What a great place that was! the weather was finally better, and the whole place had a good vibe about it! we heard the film 'lost boys' was also shot in the fairground there, I had to check that out, I wanted to hang of that bridge like in the film, but didn't have time....maybe next time we're in town.  The venue was a good dark, punky  place, and it was nice to meet up with the guys from the
Dekoize who played a good set before us. we played well on that really small stage, the crowd enjoyed our sound , defo play there again at some point. The two doorman who work there are really cool lads one of them played guitar in a blues/jazz band he'd even played with legend john lee hooker in the past, great stuff. we had a good drink with them afterwards as well as a guy called Oscar and his girl. we ended up drinking shots with these two and ended up in their hotel room gagging for more beer, its hard to resist that last drink. thanks mate.

NOV 9: KIMOS, SAN FRANCISCO

Where do I start with this crazy place!  Its like London's Camden town but different??
of course we had to check out Alcatraz, and do the whole tourist thing, God those hill's!!!!, our legs are still sore.....We also got the chance to check out one of tattooing legends, Lyle Tuttle's tattoo studio, as it happened he wasn't there but met some good fella's in the studio, Lyle is famous for having a full body suit tattoo, (he done this at a time when it wasn't the norm many years ago,) and is featured on  a rolling stones album.

Kimos club is spot on for bands, its a good size room and wherever you stand you can still see the stage, unfortunately our set was cut short thanks to
THE SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPT
, apparently we were too loud for the neighbours! WHAT?  they came in as we were in the middle of fat punx, to stop our gig. Decca shit himself and threw down his drum sticks immediately, rebel or what? I suppose we were lucky as the next song on our list was police oppression. it was a good night despite that.

NOV 10: THE CAVE SAN JOSE, CA

This was an all ages show which we really prefer to do, The venue was spot on! a large community centre full of raggy arsed kids moshing around, the only trouble with these venues is a no alcohol, which meant we had to sit in the van to have a few tinnies still, we caught a few support bands in between drinks, one band done a good version of 'IM AN UPSTART' they were sort of a rap/punk hardcore band, sorry can't remember the name but thought they were really good. Its great when you see a circle pit star kids bodies flying everywhere, punk rock, yeah!!
We played last and gained some new lil Crashed oot fans, the kids were cool here and showed us a lot of respect with it being our first time over, we'll be back there at some point

NOV 11: THE DOLL HUT ANAHEIM (CANCELLED SHOW)

With this gig being cancelled it was time to catch up on some binge drinkin, we hit the clubs in Hollywood , the whisky a go- go, Key Club, Rainbow rooms ect, the lads from CYPRIS HILL are always regulars there, we also spotted Tom Morello RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, good stuff eh. It was a good time to relax and reflect on past gigs and sink a hundred pints!!!! As per usual ham fisted Chris Wright managed to spill a glass of red wine down the front of a young lady's white dress before we left, oh god!.

NOV 12: SHOWCASE THEATRE- CORONA CA

The venue was great! we had a radio interview here also before the gig, which had to be recorded in a small toilet , not the best of places for 4 men to be in together but it had to be! It was the only quiet room in the building as by now the support bands were in full swing, crashed out and crucial change done the interview together, It can be heard on the C/O myspace.com or our photos page on here.

A few local bands played some fast paced punk rock which went down well, our set was spot on
and we had a great sound There was plenty of posters up in this venue advertising all our best British punk bands.... Its the venue to be at! After this show we were definitely playing at our best, sadly it was a really short tour and our time over there was coming to an end, two more days and we'd be flying home.

NOV 13: COLBALT CAFE, CA

What great people we met at this place! loads of young punks ready to rock the night away. when we got to the venue and parked our trusty van we got talking to the kids and found out how much they admire and respect the British bands, we knew were in for a good show! after getting some good photos (check out C/O web) we headed into the venue and got things sorted, for some reason the sound guy had went AWOL, so we took charge of the pa till he got back, luckily just in time for our set. We had a really good reception, especially putting a few upstart songs in to the mix, sent the crowd in to a frenzy! good stuff.

Sadly it had all came to an end! The tour was now over and it was time to say our farewells and thank everybody involved in helping us do this....... The next day we had to pack up and head to LA to catch our flight back to the UK, as four days later we'd supporting RANCID at Brighton, what a blast.

Already there's plans as I write this to hit the road over there in the New Year......keep an eye out! and we'll meet all of you again soon
THANK YOU ALL FROM THE CRASHED OUT CREW 2006

PS I STILL AINT GOT MY SUITCASE OF CLOTHES BACK, WILL IT EVER TURN UP? ..................

SEP/OCT 06

Well, here we go again! Its been non stop gigging for us lately, up and down the UK as you do.... one night in particular which stands out of our little adventures is the crazy night we had in Birmingham, an after show party ended with some of the band dancing the night away to such classic bands as QUEEN, FREE, and er.. ABBA... hard to believe but true. To top things of that night poor Geordie our bass player ended up having to sleep in his car at the hotel car park ! We hadn't booked enough beds this night and were caught bang to rights trying to blag extra people into our room.......Geordie happily volunteered to leave, ha ha... luckily we had a ground floor room and could pass various pillows/ blankets ect. through the window to ensure he had a warm night outside.

Next up was our few gigs up and down the country with punk legends THE MISFITS also on the bill was OSKA POPSTAR featuring MARKY RAMONE!! and our friends GOLD BLADE great bunch of lads, We had a good time. The Scotland date was a hoot, the after show party resulted in more dancing, in er, a Gay club. sometimes you get desperate for that final drink! Decca really enjoyed that night. He met a nice guy called Fred. THE MISFITS and MARKY's band didn't hang round that night as Marky apparently has a Scottish stalker whom he didn't really wanna mix with...... Our Manchester show was also a night to remember.

Overall we've had a cracking time and met some good people (cheers pat, gold blade sound guy).
until next time. ADIOS, catch ya's at one of our gigs with Irelands finest, STIFF LITTLE FINGERS
See ya in the pit.............

AUG - SEP 06
Hello all you crashet's
out there .....
I got some more news for you hungry fans!!
Some of you may have heard about CHRIS WRIGHT joining the ANGELIC UPSTARTS ....
He has just got back from a festival in Germany which was attended by around 15000 fans.
Also on the bill was
EXPLOITED.
And Chris was asked to join Wattie and the lads to sing punks not dead....... A real buzz  and a great time.....  its not a permanent position in the band just one to complete the rest of the shows as Mensi has now called it a day!!!
I would just like to take this opportunity to wish the man luck in whatever he does in the future.

THE ANGELICS, were a massive influence on punk/rock bands worldwide and I'm sure it'll not be the last you here of the outspoken upstart.
As soon as Chris got back we were on the road again with a short tour up and down the UK. We were playing alongside our pals HOLY RACKET and DRONGOS FOR EUROPE.
Some shows were excellent while others were a bit quiet, but still enjoyed ...
although, Newcastle was mayhem... ha. ha ...
It was good to see WA
TTIE of EXPLOITED at our Edinburgh show, a nice bloke.
He told us he really enjoyed
'FAT PUNKS' as many of you lot do!!
We promised him we would have a proper piss up next time we are supporting T
HE MISFITS.
That should be a blinder ...................
See ya's all soon
The C/O crew.

May - July 06... Howdy folks!
Good to have so much support from you lot at the Carling Academy in Newcastle. (Thanks) The punk alldayer featuring, the Damned, Angelic Upstarts, Rezzilos, GBH ect.
It went great or should I say it was going great until some mindless idiot spoilt the Angelic's set. It was one of the first times, I (Lee) had relaxed, having a drink and watching the Angelic Upstarts instead of playing for em.
Second song into their set Mensi was hit in the eye by a bottle of beer, the band rightly so walked off stage and that was their slot over.
Mensi had to have medical attention and has since received a minor operation. There is just no call for crap like that to be going on, the band are there to entertain, and do their job not be target practice for idiots.
Due to Mensi's operation some upstarts shows were put on hold. Rather than cancel all the dates Mensi has personally asked our very own Chris Wright to front the Angelic Upstarts.
On the 29.7.06 in Germany. The festival in Rostock features the Exploited amongst others, we all wish Chris the best of luck and hope the crowd appreciate what he's doing, it'll be a hard job to front a band that's not yours, especially when he only received notice 5 days before, hope he's got the lyrics typed out!!!!!
As Soon as Chris gets back its down to practice once again folks as we've plenty of shows coming your way.... see yis soon ...... Lee

April 06... Hello everyone out there, the crashed ooters, have been down the country lately playing gigs alongside Menace in Derby (which I'm sad to say was a disappointing turnout, its quality not quantity sometimes though!! ) and Birmingham with Drongos For Europe which was blinding. We love the pubs & clubs in Birmingham the watering holes have loads of character, cheers lads enjoyed it.
Also over that weekend Chris and Lee done an interview with Kerrang Radio which went great, loads of pisstakin and also got to play some songs of bands that have influenced us over the years, hope some of you lot out there heard it.
Thanks to Chris Gee for the opportunity, top guy!
This month we also played on our home turf at Trillians Rock Bar as usual excellent turn out and a mental night, our support band Motion Sickness also went down well and we'll do more gigs with em in the future.
That's all for now folks Take it easy .... The Crew ....

March 06... Edaska Rock Club Barakaldo Bilboa Northern Spain.
Before I begin the details of these gigs We'd like to give a special thanks to Danny and Nesta from Northern Spain, for all their patience and help, we appreciate it!
Ok we arrive at N/castle airport at 5:15, totally knackered but ready to play that night. As per usual when we try to get to Spain things go wrong......... The plane's delayed which has a knock on effect which means we ain't gonna catch our next flight, therefore the gig looks off tonight. shit, we could have had a lie in! We phone our promoter to tell him the bad news but he ain't having it. He gotta get us there. luckily Chris missed out on all this fun as he was already over there tattooing at Danny (the promoter's) tattoo studio. Finally we get the call and new flights have been booked. A few friends of ours who came to see us play also had to do the same and paid good money for new tickets!! Now that's determination for ya (thanks lads)
Of course after all that stress the bar was the only place in mind for breakfast and beer...Mmmm
We finally arrive in Spain and by now the full day has gone and its time to go straight to the venue.
We played ok that night, it still amazes me how well the Jarrow song goes down in Europe! but it had been a long long day, tomorrow's show was gonna be better.
... Gazteleku Onati Northern Spain.
The next morning we wake feeling fine! the sun is shining and we have most of the day to do as we please,  we hear that Deccas been up since 6am pestering the lads to get on the lash! He puts Keith moon to shame that lad. The rest of us decide to get some cans find a grassy hill and sun bathe in true Jarra tradition, we know tomorrow its back home to the rain so make the most of it.
Later on we catch up with the lads for a drink and discover Decca has developed a strange limp due to the drink, as long as he plays the drums ok tonight we don't care.
Well, Danny the promoter finally arrives with Nestor the sound guy and we're on our way to the gig,
we pass through  lovely picturesque village's and towns to finally arrive at a great venue!
That nights gig was mayhem, loads of young punks going mad! they were even serving at the bar which meant loads of free drink, that soon ran out but that was ok cos the bottles of red wine were produced. some of our lot thought they were back in the toon. Great stuff  Decca as not to disappoint ended up on a balcony overlooking the stage bollock naked! he often does this when feeling hot.  By the time it was all over it was getting into early morning, we had two hours sleep before being dragged from our beds to catch the flight back home. we thank everybody involved  in that weekend and see ya's all again soon.

March 06 ..... The Star & Garter (Manchester)
Hi folks, after the crimbo break the crew are back on the road and ready to start gigging again.
The first show we're asked to play is alongside a great US band called The briefs, also on the bill is a good local band the down & outs and another called flamingo 50. After getting lost on the moors and missing the sound check we finally arrive at Manchester's beautiful pub, The star and Garter. Shortly after humping our gear up the stairs the first band's on and the sound ain't too bad.
When the down & outs take the stage the crowd get really in to it, good sing-along stuff( one of our lot even bought a CD) Then Its C/Os turn, the crowd are great and we belt out all the new material despite only having an inch each to move on the stage, a good night was had by all.
The Briefs up next and go down a storm, we like this lot and hope to do more stuff with them in the future, we wish em luck.

Feb 06 ..... The Royal Oak (Blackpool) The Epoxies, Crashed Out, Guilty Pleasures ..................
The snow wouldn't stop today! It poured down on us all the way to the venue, luckily we were in a car, we arrived in good time and managed to get a hot meal down us before checking out the bands on the bill.
The venue was a good sized punky place and it was full, the first band on was a bunch of young lads called 'Guilty Pleasures' I at first thought they'd be playing puppy punk stuff but I was wrong, they had a good early fast punk sound  and were amateur but good, nice bunch of lads too.
We were up next and for once I think we didn't drop any bollock's.
The Epoxies were at the front watching the whole set we even seen the singer swinging her hips to 'one of the boys'  which was nice.
Everything we done went down well.
Fat Wreckhord's The Epoxies were on next.
And they were excellent, they looked great with their early punk look and the synthesizer topped it off, good melodic catchy pop, they even had a foam machine and kept blinding the audience which was funny.
We like em .................................................

Dec 05 ..... Played Newcastle Blackett Arms 'Red Rooms' along with our pals Angelic Upstarts. This was our little Xmas bash but it turned out to be anything but little. The place was jammed from 8pm and it was a Wednesday night! its  been a while since we have played the toon but we had a brilliant turn out and atmosphere, but it was all to be expected back in gods country. Thanks to all in attendance, especially all the girlies that turned up, seems like our shows get more and more of the female species these days!! ( maybe its to do with one of the oot's gifted but unusual talent ) we had a blast along with the Angelics. more please sir....

Nov 05 ..... Played the brilliant Speed freaks ball in Great Yarmouth, 6 hours of driving and we arrive a Pontins holiday park Hemsby nr Great Yarmouth.
What a bastard of a journey that was but glad to get to the venue and it looks cool. Loads of great bands on over the weekend including Ed Tenpole, The Damned, Bad Manners, Argy Bargy, Goldblade + lots more. Ok so we are washed changed a couple of pints and on stage. Our whole set was filmed for a forthcoming documentary to be screened in 2006 (watch this space) we played a good set to a massive crowd and we even had a few rockers up enjoying the Crashed Out sounds. Ok so we had a great gig now its time to party bars open till 5am yeeee haaaa.
8am and after two hours of talking shite its finally time for bed. We really kicked the ass out of that one, but alas a few let the team down and decided they had enough and wanted to go home. 'Fucking pussies', so it was left to the bass boy and the guy with the sweetest voice in punk to carry on and fly the flag for the oot's. Another late night and a long journey yem the next day. But at least we got a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning courtesy of Geordie. He really is at home behind a cooker, sink, Hoover or washing machine, god bless him. at least some stuck it out. 'eh'

Oct 05 ..... Our next gig is at The Fibbers in York with Anti No-where league on Sunday 2nd October.......... Then on Saturday 29th October its Morecambe for Daz Russell's 21 years of promoting gigs. This is a FREE show so no excuses, all you have to do is send for your free tickets check out: www.wastedfestivals.com for more info. Other bands that are playing this gig are Angelic Upstarts, The Dead Pets, Resistance 77, Capo Regime, Instant Agony, The Grit, MDM, Outl4W.

Sept 05..... Now the recording of our CD is finished we get down to playing a couple of great gigs. First off and its the Wasted fest in Amsterdam and a cracking show it was some great bands in a great air conditioned venue. Bands included Goldblade, Holyracket, UK Subs, Angelic Upstarts, Dead pets, Deadline, Addicts, The Crack, us and a ton of others. Amsterdam was a great place for a punk fest as it is the original sin city and the Crashed Out crew took full advantage of this. Cheers to our little squad that came over to support the band and spend mega bucks and a load of time down the dorty end. At least you showed up when we eventually played, Although pissed up knackered and skint! just like most Brits on the piss in Sin City.
Next up this month we played at Essen Germany at The Funbox fest and another host of great bands this time including Stage bottles, The bones, Angelics, Deadline, Anti no-where league, and loads more. Two days of music, beer and mayhem. No pix of this show were taken as we miss-judged just how strong German beer is!!!

August 05.... The band have been working none stop over the last few months in the studio and playing live..... July 05..... And been real busy with the new CD and its came on great, it will be released through Captain Oi Records sometime in September, 15 brand new tracks also including bonus enhanced video track.
Also this month We played a great gig in Gloucester Guild Hall with Angelic Upstarts and local support. Cheers to Andy K from Demob for sorting that one and looking after us so well, the lasagne was spot on mate cheeeers.

May 05 ..... Well another wasted has been and gone but first up this month was our warm up gig with the upstarts in Sunderland's Ku club. A great turn out yet again, also playing on the bill tonight was North Tyneside's Demon 340 a up and coming hard no bullshit punk band lovely!  We came on about 9ish and had a great gig cheers to everyone who danced there little pants off down the front that's the way it should be (cheers) Angelics played a blinding set and went on until 11.30  half an hour over the time limit. The thing being  that after 11pm the place turns into a night club and the doors are open to the humans, The bouncers were shiting themselves as they just couldn't stop the show and the crowd were going ape-shit.
So they had no choice but to let the public in anyway.
And what happened, they fucking loved it everyone got into the music trendy's, chava's, drunks, punks, old fuckers and young radgies the lot! it was enough to bring a tear to the eye. (brilliant)
Wasted and a great gig we had at the Carlton venue we did have a minor hitch as Deccas drum pedal sort of just disintegrated right near the end of our set. And with no stage hands about to help us???? we soldiered on. Getting a great reception from the crowd which included Rancid's Mr Lars Frederickson who has shown interest in c/o and in getting some ink from Chris n Lee. Another great festival and hats off to Daz n Jennie Russell for pulling it off yet again

End of March 05 ..... and were at Rennes France The venue Mondo Bizzaro a great place to play with good pa and sound guy. this gig was very well attended and we had a cracking reception. Other bands playing were On the rampage and  Bombardiers. Everything went great until the next morning, we missed our flight home!!!!!!
Even though the flight was 6 hours delayed the fucking evil airline that is Ryan air, would not let us check in cos we were 5 minutes late. The airport would not except cash as payment for the next available flight! our credit cards would not work, the only phone in the shitty little airport was bust, Decca was out of drink n tabs & Geordie was having one of his now famous breakdowns. So we spent an extra night in Rennes and went on the lash (as you do).
Cheers to Audrey for putting us up again.
Ok the next day the drama continues our driver gets lost on the way to the airport and more fucking hassle from the jobs-worth airlines. (its a book in itself and the story is too long and painful to reflect here) maybe they just didn't like the look of us, or everyone of them were on there rag!!! May they all suffer the same bum grapes as Geordie once did (well not quite as bad as that, we couldn't be that evil)
Just another chapter in the life of Crashed Out a Great gig and weekend, but total terminal chaos.

March 05 ..... Here we go again ... first stop Milan with the Upstarts. The gig was well attended drink n food was in abundance but the organisation was a bit chaotic to say the least. We eventually got on stage at about 3am and the Upstarts about 4am still we played to a massive pissed up crowd. We had a few of the Crashed Out posse with us to help keep the spirits up and the laughter flowing cheers to Frankie, Snibs, Kev & Mal. A few dramas including the microphone totally disintegrating in Chris's hand mid set, us loosing our merchandise Mensi wanting to bash the fash, and no fucker turning up to take us to the airport the next morning.

Total chaos nothing new to the Crashed Out crew (fuck there's a song in that)

Feb 25th & 26th 05 ..... And were off to play a couple of support slots to the mighty Angelic Upstarts in Leipzig and Hamburg Germany.
We start the weekend on a luxury coach to the venue. Colour telly, fridge full of plonk, play station, DVD player, video and 9 beds on board. Fuck me we've made it, this is the way to travel cheers to the promoters for looking after us so well, this is how it should be.
The first venue Connie Island in Leipzig was ace a massive and appreciative crowd made the Crashed Out crew feel humble. We played our bollox off and we were well received by the crowd of totally mixed people i.e.: punks, skins, bikers, casuals young and old.

Then the Upstarts came on minus one! Dickey the guitar hero who's passport was in such a shit state Easy Jet would not let him fly. So Mensi commandeered Crashed Outs most handsome on stage to help sing backing vocals so the upstarts now had 3 members of Crashed Out: Decca (drums) Lee (lead guitar) & Chris (Mr handsome) in the line up. THE CRASH-STARTS played all the old favourites and of course went down brilliant, then right on the last number Dickey appeared, he had glued his passport and made his way over via Ryan Air. (how punk is that 'eh')
With Dickey back in the line up Chris was sacked and the band played a long encore including classics 'If the kids were united' and 'White riot'  and the crowd went mental.
Next day and a new venue Knunt in Hamburg another great venue and big crowd, this time our good pal Olga of Toy Dolls came over to show his support, he was even in the mosh pit at one point. (great stuff)
After the show and its off to Hamburg's red light area for lashing of the old mead and dorty wimmin.
We all paid the next day at the airport though, but I wont mention the Lu-beck incident or shall I Mick? the roadie)
WATCH  THIS SPACE FOR MORE CRASHED OUT CAPERS COMING SOON............

Feb 5th 05 ..... And its our date with the London's finest punk rock 'n' rollers DEADLINE the venue: The Archer Newcastle. What a night, a brilliant turnout and everyone having a great time showing our friends from the south the Geordie scene at its best. Priceless Cheers chev for the sound and to the crowd who give it their all it makes it all worth while.

End of Feb 05 ..... We play a funny little gig in in aid of the Tsunami appeal staged at Hedworth Community Centre. Along with us Local bands playing were: Motion sickness, Facct & Infected. These three bands were made up of kids in there teens and all rocked, they all enjoyed themselves that much that we couldn't get the little fuckers off the stage. Over £600 was raised for the appeal and it was a great change playing to a crowd of young kids out of there little heads on pop and sweets although a few of the Crashed oot crew did show up I think it was a little scary for them to actually participate in the action.

Jan 2005 ..... the New Year starts with a gig at the one and only Duke of Cumberland Felling. We also had sharing the stage on this cold Sunday afternoon none other than Felling's answer to Motorhead: Pitbull, not really anything like Motorhead but just as fucking loud. Then a new band on the scene some young blood for a change. Nausea, four young lads playing there own music to a grateful audience. Spot on, and another good afternoon of the North's finest street rock n roll.

10th Dec 04 ..... The place was the Juleblot Fest Oslo Norway and it was fucking freezing -7.
But once on stage in the now infamous Cavern Club which is basically a cave with steel doors and stage added, things soon warmed up.
Crashed Out went down a storm to a very enthusiastic crowd starting the set at about 1am and finishing after 2 encores at 2.30am. Also playing that night were the Whalers, Case of Pride, Bitches 'n' Bastards & Ingen Nade. All bands played great no bullshit street rock 'n' roll hats off to all of them. A big thanks goes out to Bjorn & Synoveols for putting us up  feeding us and answering all of our questions about the price of things in Norway. Watford's favourite sons ARGY BARGY headlined the festival on the Saturday again playing amazing street rock to a very pissed up over exited crowd
or was that just Chris!!! Cheers Jon, Daryl, Dalb & Dave for a great end to a great weekend.
For anyone thinking of attending next years Julebolt Fest, be warned take plenty of cash we paid £7 for a pint of Guinness in a local pub. Geordie pissed and shat himself on the spot when the bar man asked for the money.
He is still shaking to this day and his hair turned grey. BE WARNED!
Nov 04 ..... Not much happening this month folks, we are in the studio working on our sensational new music.
  WATCH THIS SPACE.................................................................
Oct 8th 04 ..... This is more like it, Trillians Rock Bar Newcastle, the venue of our infamous battle of the bands. On stage with us on this night in question were 'Mispent Youth' & 'Demon 340.' Two new up and coming North East bands to watch out for. Both bands played there own original music and going down great with the massive crowd.
We came on about 10pm and the place was busting at the seems, tonight we played allot more of our new material which went down great with the crowd. Our set was recorded and a couple of tracks will be used on a forthcoming comp: 'Live' at Trillians. (keep a lookout on this site for details) another good time had by all cheers to everyone for their support you know it makes sense.

Oct 6th 04 ..... Played a small gig at 'The Ringside' in Hull played to a load of young skate punks and a few older generation punk rockers. But come 10.30pm most of the young squad fucked off home? They most probably had to catch the last bus home otherwise mummy & daddy would have grounded them. (Rebel Rockers 'eh') Still a good gig and good to see some young guns for a change.

New photos  of Lee, Decca & friends helping out with backing vocal duties on
the last Toy Dolls album. (See Photos page)
The album is now finished and is a real classic.
A release date will be announced soon.
Olga was over the moon at how much effort the boys put in.
Even Chris put down his tattoo machine for a few days to sing his little heart out (One lad actually fainted during the mid section of 'me and emu') everyone enjoyed
those few weeks at Fred's ( Trinity Heights) and we all look forward to the release.

September 04 ..... We just re-recorded the Jarrow Song for our forthcoming video. We started filming for the new Jarrow Song video in Jarrow Ex Servicemen's Club and around Tyneside. We had a great weekend shooting the film which is being filmed and produced by Chris Tritschler who filmed the 'Anti No-Where League' for a documentary.
Chris saw us play support to the league and liked what he seen so decided he wanted to make a professional video for us. The film should be out at the end of the year. What a laugh we had making the vid thanks to everyone who turned up for the live performance scene especially the king of cock n dole the one and only mister Jarra Elvis. (seeing is believing)
Also this month we played at Whitehaven Civic Hall with 'Stiff Little Fingers' a great gig and a great experience to play with such punk legends. Cheers to Jake and the lads for the beers at the end of the night we demolished them in the van on the way home.

July 24th & 25th 04 ..... Played two local gigs first at The Three Tuns Gateshead, then on the Sunday afternoon The Duke of Cumberland. Also on with us were our good mates from mackem land: Holy Racket and The Jesters all the way from Belgium, both gigs had a good turn out and all the bands went down great.

July 18th 04 ..... And we play the biggest and the best punk festival this country has 'Morecambe'. On at about 2.30pm on the Saturday we had a brilliant turn out and played a good set even though Decca had a busted hand because of a drink related accident the night before. Cheers to all who turned out to watch the band and it was great to meet up with pals old and new, what a weekend, what a buzzzzz.

June 04 ..... And this month kicks off with us being asked by Kerrang Radio to play a battle of the bands that they had organised at Trillians Rock bar Newcastle. Kerrang Radio Newcastle had been playing our new demo for the previous week and were impressed enough to ask us to go to battle. Unfortunately we came a very close second place but we were not at all bitter and twisted by the result, even though we had the whole place rocking, had the biggest cheers , the manager of the bar along with his pa bloke and one of the Kerrang staff said WE WAS ROBBED and we lost on a 1/2 point? We took it all in our stride although at one point Geordie burst into tears and had to be consoled by one of the bar maids and 10 John Smiths. And Decca threatened to throw himself off the Tyne Bridge unless there was a re-count, we did manage to eventually coax Decca down from the bridge with a packet of tabs. All told it was a good night and a laugh, good luck to the winning band although we cannot remember what you looked or sounded like, no hard feelings (twats)

Also this month we played at Manchester's Star n Garter a late fill in slot this was, but still a good gig and a cracking venue to play we will be back, cheers to Steve and Ageless Chaps for putting us on.

May 29th 04 ..... This was the main event on the CRASHED OUT calendar, our charity gig for the Eddy Wright Appeal in aid of the Tiny Lives Charity. The baby intensive care unit.
The place was the Ex Servicemen's Club in Jarrow, and the line up was: Last Men on Earth, Rigid Digits, Loudmouth, Holy Racket, Red Alert, The Lurkers,
CRASHED OUT and Angelic Upstarts.
By 5pm the place was filling up nicely and by 7 pm it was chokka block and a complete sell out.
Things were running late and we did not get on stage till 9.30pm.
By this time the crowd were pissed up and going mental, and at one point nearly pulling Chris off the stage (Gaz n Shorty the main culprits)
Playing thru a 20k rig, smoke machine, strobe lights the works. Now we know how Nobby Williams & co feel like.
Straight after our set Decca remained at the drums beating it out for the Upstarts.
Hats off to 'little man Wade' for playing two brilliant sets,  you'd think he was in his teens not in his 40s.
It was the first time Decca and Mensi have played together in 20 years, the last time they played Jarrow a riot erupted.
Halfway thru the Upstarts set Lee also joined in to add to the great sound.
All told £3500 was raised for the charity (check out the Articles page)
All bands played for free and were brilliant so a big thanks goes out from us at
CRASHED OUT HQ
to them and all who helped to make the day a success.
The punters and the atmosphere was spot on. Thanks to all who where there.

"COME ON FOLLOW THE JARRA LADS THEY MAKE YOUR HEARTS FEEL GLAD"

May 28th 04 ..... We played a gig with the mighty Girlschool at Breeze South shields. This gig was a little strange for us playing to mostly rockers and metal heads. But we were well received and even had them head banging through our set. So it wasn't our usual crowd of punks, Herbert's, hooligans, ageing skins and villains but a great night. Girlschool played a brilliant set and had the place rocking 'DANDRUFF WAS ABUNDANCE' the girls were spot on (check out our photos page) and right up for a laugh even though they had travelled for 8 hours and had to share a 6ft x 6ft dressing room with us lot, THAT'S ROCK N ROLL.

May 04 ..... Kicks off with us running about like headless chickens promoting our charity event: The Eddy Wright Appeal in aid of The Tiny Lives Baby Intensive Care Unit Also this month we have been drafted in by our mate Olga and his Toy Dolls to help out on the new album. We had been put to work on backing vocals and what a laugh it was, this has got to be the best Toy Dolls album to date, and not just cos were on it. Funny as fuck Olga we wouldn't have missed it for the world, cheers mate, arrrrr olga a cannit!!!

April 04 ..... Oi Across The World Has just been released and features a track by us, the CD is a comp. and is being released through Street Dog Records. Punk In Sunderland Vol. 2 is also out this month and we have a demo track included.

From Feb 04 ..... Until April we worked on our new material so all gigs were put on hold. Also Geordie was admitted into hospital for a couple of weeks getting his arse sorted out, and after a successful op. he can now fart for England. (he's chuffed to bits) With things back to normal and a happy Geordie & arse we start playing again: April 3rd & 4th played with Drongos For Europe, Skeptix & Contempt in Stafford and Birmingham. Both gigs went really well a special thanx goes to Tomo Drongo for putting us up and feeding us, a true mate.

Feb 04 ..... Its Northern Spain & playing to a great crowd, although our journey over was a bit of a nightmare, delayed for 24 hours and stuck in a shitty little village with nothing to do but drink (Nightmare ha ha). Once there and in Basque Country we had a great time and we were more than well looked after by our hosts.

Jan 04 ..... We kicked off 2004 with a gig in Hartlepool with our good mates from Doon Sooth: Deadline had a cracking gig with a great turn out from the Jarra posse. We put on a coach for this one as about 40 lads from our area wanted to support the band. We all had a right good piss up and on our way home a new chant was invented by the pissed up crew: Wha oot, Wha oot, Wha Fucking CRASHED OOT !! Classic.

Early 03 ..... DSS records in Austria released the best of CRASHED OUT entitled: Working-Class Aggression The Years 1996-2003. this is a 14 track recording from the previous 3 CDs.

Since the CD 'Back For More' we have played extensively throughout the UK, playing with bands such as: Angelic Upstarts, Cockney Rejects, Anti No-Where League, to name but a few. We also played the 2003 Holidays In The Sun festival, and are marked down for the 2004 Wasted festival. CRASHED OUT end the year with the Berlin 'Punk n Disorderly' festival, roll on 2004.

April 02 ..... the new C/O 'Back for More' was released, this was totally self produced by CRASHED OUT. Camden Town records (Spain) released the recording on 10" vinyl. Also from the CD the track (Devil on my back) was used on the Addicted to Oi comp on the Captain Oi label.

02 ..... Lee was still getting a lot of letters from all over, asking what was happening with C/O so with Decca Wade back in town decided to take things where we left off. Myself Chris was asked to try out on vocals and the rest as you say is history, We have a EP and CD coming out sometime in March.

2000 ..... decided to call it a day as we never had a drummer or permanent vocalist. Geordie (bass) and Lee (guitar) started another band overload played a couple of gigs but that didn't workout either.

99 ..... played in France with The Business, Section 5 and Gundog >>>> end 1999 Gary was finished on vocals and Raish took over for a couple of gigs with Mark back on sticks.

98 ..... line up change Mark was fed up on sticks so Raish Carter was now in the hot seat. Went to Germany for a week long tour with Trinker Kohorte from Berlin. Also released Here Now And Real CD Hammer records. Played all over UK.

97 ..... played Belgium again also played with PTTB and Splodge. Also released first single Memories of Saturday and later first c.d This Is Our Music later that year (I think) had two tracks released on more Working Class Anthems all on the Hammer Records label. Supported UK Subs again in South Shields.

96 ..... replaced bass player with Geordie Brown, played Belgium with Argy Bargy also did a lot of local gigs supported UK Subs in South Shields. Played a couple of gigs with local bands Rampage and Boisterous.
